My blond teenager...
Her second funny is...
our poor dog has very sensitive skin and is extremely allergic to fleas. This has been a bad year for fleas around here. Frontline would cost us $60 a pop because we have 1 dog and 3 cats and right now we cant afford that. I had gotten some skin so soft bath oil to put on the pets for fleas. Since i sell Avon i also have SSS shower gel, the SSS bath oil was sitting on the back of the toilet, right next to the dog shampoo. the other day Emily and Jacob gave rascal a bath and used the SSS like i told them. It was a good bath and they got a lot of fleas off him. but since then he hasn't been able to stop scratching. I had a spray bottle so we could put the SSS in the bottle and spray it on the pets. She asked if she needed to mix it with water. I told her no since it was an oil it wouldn't mix well. She gave me a funny look, but she does that a lot.... next i hear Jacob telling her she cant spray shower gel from a spray bottle!! I went to see what was going on and discovered that she had acutally used my shower gel to bathe the dog (it did say SSS, but it was pretty and purple) She thought i was nuts telling her to spray shower gel through a spray bottle...I am assuming the reason the dog cant stop scratching is because it was SSS fusions, part creamy and part exfoilant.
lol
Sorry I'm not the best story teller. I normally leave story telling to dh and dd. Plus it doesn't help to have a 2yo whining at me either. Hope you got the funnies. :)

About my family....
I am married to the Wacky Survivalist. We have been married for 16 1/2 years. We celebrate #17 in January. We started out our married life in the military. Dh was in the Navy and was stationed in Vallejo Ca. We were there for about 2 years and then moved to Newport News Va. we were their for about 4 years. After that we moved back to Ohio and now we live in a small 3 bdrm ranch in a south east suburb of Cleveland. When we moved here 11 years ago it was a nice neighborhood with many older residents. It was nice and quiet! since then many of them have moved or passed away. With all the houses for sale, the city folks have moved into the suburbs. We would love to move to a more rural area one day. Hopefully soon since dh has an hour commute (one way) to his new job. The price of gas is killing us.
I work part time at a local Joann's to help pay the bills. I have been selling Avon for 10 years, it has always been for "fun money" sometimes we get to have fun, other times we don't. lol I am also a Stampin Up demo. With my busy life the stamping has been put on the back burner. I try to make my quota to keep current, I wont make it this quarter. I don't worry about it, i can still get together with my group and stamp. having fun is the important part! :) i also do sewing on the side to make some extra money.
Dh and i have 5 children. The youngest is Joshua he just turned 2 in August. He is a handful and needs to be watched/entertained 24/7. Just yesterday when he was supposed to be napping, his brother heard a noise and went to see what it was. He found that Joshua had climbed out of his crib, onto a dresser and was pulling stuff off the wall.
Sarah is 5, she is pure girl! she loves to have her picture taken, good thing because her sis loves to take her pix. She used to want to be Sleeping Beauty when she grew up. Now she wants to be a ballerina. Don't let the girly girl fool you. she has 3 brothers and learns all that "boy stuff" but she still comes up with all that sweet girl stuff...
Next is Timothy, he is the middle child!!! He is sweet and loving, but such a trouble maker! he is constantly pestering his siblings and normally ends up hurt/crying 12x's a day. (if not more) He is pretty smart, but lazy. He has mom fooled that he cant do a thing on his own. lol Well, mom has caught on to his game! ;o) He will be 8 in 5 days! as you can also see he is quite a monkey. I cant get him to stop climbing the walls. here his is with his birthday countdown chain and the Vegas countdown chain.
On to the next child...that would be Jacob, he is 12 and will be 12 in December...( i refuse to allow him to become a teenager!!! I REFUSE!!!!!) Jacob is pretty smart too, but easily distracted! He does well in school, but i need to keep my eye on him. He enjoys Boy Scouts and has shown signs of becoming responsible. Here he is with his(our) favorite kitty Oreo.
And then there is the oldest child....Emily is 15 and is also know as diehardequestrian
she is the responsible one. She has learned this year that if she hides in her bedroom she can escape the chaos of her siblings. She is a smart kid, and is good in school. for the most part i think she enjoys learning. She loves horses, but we have burst her bubble by not being able to afford riding lessons. she has since turned to photography
We do home school, kinda. This is our 8th year. This past January we changed to an online charter school called Ohdela. It is basically public school at home. The kids are provided with computers and all school books needed. this year they received gift cards for supplies. The part i like is that they also supply the lesson plans. that was my biggest problem in previous years. They have online classes that they attend and then the rest of the stuff we do together. This year has been difficult. Now that 4 of the 5 kids are school age, i find it difficult to split my time. Which leaves me wandering around aimlessly... like now....

Time flies...
These next two are squares for a special order quilt i am working on. I cant wait to get sewing on it. the more i put together the better it looks. Hopefully i can work on it tonight. I requested off work tonight because i wrote an event on the wrong day. The event isn't today it is on Friday... good thing i am not scheduled on Friday!!
I also have an order for 14 pillow cases that i need to shop for. I am really excited about this order. She asked for me to embroider special sayings on them. this is for the same woman i did the these for.
The other day we had some deer in our front yard. normally we get them in the back yard but the dog was out and they came to the front. they ended up walking down the street. As many times as we have seen deer, i just cant figure out why they want to live in the city...I know i don't! ;o) Plus the park is near by, i would rather live in the park...if i were a deer. lol
Remember my friend Elaine from work? I haven't seen her much since she retired. She asked that we keep in touch. But i am so bad at being friends, i never remember to make contact, and i never heard from her. I found out recently that she has lung cancer. She does not smoke. Not sure what the survival rate is, but she is a fighter. I need to remember to send her a card. I have No excuse since all i have to do is go in my basement and find at least 100 cards... a ton of paper and too many stamp sets to number....
On the topic of being a bad friend, i am also a bad neighbor. I constantly feel guilty for not calling my neighbor. She loves to hear from us, the boys used to go over to visit but things are just so crazy and i am just lazy. i just never seem to think about it until it is too late in the day. Last week she had an ambulance come. We waited for almost an hour until I was able to talk to her sil. her sugar dropped (she's diabetic) and not sure what happens but the ambulance came and both her kids. i guess they pumped her with sugar (pop, candy, cookies..) until her blood sugar came up.
Well, on with my pity party...It is past lunch and i have to finish printing off class schedules so the kids can do.... "school!"
don't forget to check my web shots page for new items I am offering for sale!!! My office Mgr has been too busy to update my "official" website. so until then check here!!

Sarah's new calendar
The one i got earlier this year is a dry erase. I used double stick foam tape to attach it to the door. It has a crack on the fold, but could easily be fixed.
Since she got a new calendar, i am passing along the dry erase one. I will give it to the first person that sends me an email at debbiels1@gmail.com

Argh...what a week!
did ya hear we are going to Vegas!? Not ever been there before so i don't know what to expect. Any one ever gone? Hopefully we can find some things for the kids and i to do while dh is at his conference. I hope the 11 acre pool is as great as it sounds...I am SO tempted to drive the extra 5 hours west to take the boys to Lego land. Any one in California!? or Nevada? Or on the way from Ohio to Nevada!? :o) Oh yeah, we are driving....lol that should be a ton of fun!
With all the talk of new digital cameras around the house lately, i have decided i would like one of my own. My qualifications are much more rigid than Em's! First i found this cute little camera case. I told dh that my camera should fit in this case, cause it is so cute!
The other day i noticed an add in the paper for the perfect camera! I think it meets my requirements! What do you think!?
Emily (Mrs $bags) wont buy it for me...she said maybe they could get it for me for Christmas...
